Fender is my go-to choice for both basses and amplification. I primarily use their fantastic Jazz, Jaguar and Mustang basses, and I plug them into the killer, recently-reissued Bassman TV Fifteen combo amp.
I like to use Elites Strings, as well as Dean Markley's Blue Steels. EMG's awesome J- Set pick-ups help a lot, too. Where pedals are concerned, I go with T-Rex, Voodoo Labs, Chunk Systems (their Brown Dog Gated Fuzz is my favourite distortion pedal of all time!), EBS and Electro Harmonix.
