the last couple of days have been eventful, to put it mildly. we hauled ass from Vegas to LA, rushed off to the Hollywood Bowl almost as soon as we arrived, played the show, partied reasonably hard, then got on a flight to Chicago early the next morning. needless to say, yesterday turned into a travel/hangover day bundled into one, and there were multiple pukings on the plane (not from me though). the Hollywood Bowl show was triumphant in every way possible, and i was very, very happy that so many of my friends were able to come and see it, having listened to me talking about it for a year and a half before the actual event. apparently, the LA Times agreed, and wrote a great review here.

anyway, upon arrival in Chicago, we decided that we would find a bar in which to watch the Monday night football, which was Vikings vs, uh, someone else. Green Bay Packers? in all honesty, Matt and Adrian wanted to watch the Monday night football, and i needed a drink and some food, so our collective needs were neatly met with a joint outing to the local bar. having recruited a local buddy for tonight's activities, we are planning on checking out some music (Tortoise have a jazz night somewhere). hopefully, the fact that we lost two hours on the way here will work in my favour, and i'll be able to stay up and hit the town in a manner befitting of this rad city. yay Chicago!

Yes, it was the Green Bay Packers :) I know because that's my state's football team and I hear that they won, but I'm not sure. I don't watch football
