Jenni was born in Joensuu, Finland, on March 27th, 1982. As a kid, Jenni enjoyed riding her bike, playing with Lego, riding ponies, terrorizing her sister, and eating bacon sandwiches. At the age of 12, Jenni decided to play an instrument. She picked the double bass, mostly because everybody else already played the boring piano, or violin, or flute.

Jenni turned out to be OK at the bass, and she got better by playing in the school orchestra and jazz band. Amazingly, Jenni was accepted to the world-renowned Berklee College Of Music, where she took classes in many things including ear training, arranging, music technology, jazz harmony and traditional theory, composition, music history, transcription and conducting. She also studied privately under world-class musicians such as Anthony Vitti, David Clarke, Bruce Gertz, Lin Biviano, Greg Mooter, Daniel Morris, and Fernando Huergo.

Much like everyone else who went to college, Jenni had to find a job after the studies were done. She scored massively by getting a gig with Melanie C of the Spice Girls, and cruised around with her, playing major pop events, TV shows and club shows across Europe for a while. She followed that up with some adventures with Har Mar Superstar, including UK, European and North American touring. Fun! A little while after that, Junior Senior called, and Jenni answered the phone. Together they toured Japan and Europe, and many fun times were had.

In 2008, Jenni was asked if she wanted to audition for Kylie Minogue's band. She most certainly did. Everything went as planned, and the coolest adventure of all followed. Jenni spent the next two years touring the arenas of Europe, North and South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, as well as performing at some of the biggest outdoor festivals in the world. Too much awesome stuff happened to fully explain here, but if you read the blog, all will be revealed.

Jenni is currently touring and recording with Atlantic Records artist Christina Perri. Jenni plays on Christina's debut album "Lovestrong", which was released in May 2011.

When she's not at soundcheck, or at practise, or waiting in line at the airport, Jenni likes to do other stuff in her spare time. She plays bass in Correatown, Rabbits Rabbits Rabbits, and Eskimohunter. She is a reasonably skilled knitter, intermediate cook, decent baker, general crafts expert, amateur nature photographer, hoodie wearer, movie enjoyer, bike riding afficionado, owl enthusiast, vintage connoisseur, skype user, cupcake slave and sushi addict. She goes running three or four times a week, depending on how she's feeling. Her current sneakers were  are  due to be replaced in November 2011.
